my opinion anksimageI love to stay organized but it can be a hassle sometimes, especially when you have a busy schedule. Add family to your busy schedule and it seems you hardly have time for yourself, let alone find the time to organize stuff in the house!

Well, fret not – here are a few ways I have discovered to stay organized without spending any money. You just have to figure out how to take some time out of your busy schedule to actually follow these tips.

Do you have a ladder in your house?

An old ladder can be put up in your bathroom where you can hang towels, or even newspapers and magazines. And if you can put in the effort, clean it up and paint it in a bright color to showcase it in your living room, or any other room of the day.

Like I said, an old (but clean) ladder can hold your clothes, newspapers, magazines, and anything else you might want to hang. Just imagine the kind of space you’ll be saving by putting these stuff vertically on a ladder, rather than spread out horizontally.

Use old newspapers in your closet

No, I’m not just talking about putting newspapers to line your closet area. You can use newspapers for so much more.

Bundle up newspapers to stuff your handbags and boots, which otherwise would fall limp and lose their shapes. In this manner, you free up the space your old newspapers were taking up, plus your stuff stays in great shape.

Turn old clothes into patchwork items

Patchwork quilts or dusting clothes are few items which can always find a spot in your house, if you like patchwork stuff that is. If you’re game, you can stitch up patchwork items from your old clothes, or outsource it to you neighborhood tailor.

Try to integrate as many clothes into the patchwork quilt you want to make because more the layers, better warmth it’ll provide in the cold weather.

This is a great way to de-clutter your wardrobe.

Transform old boxes into utility cabinets

Do you have plastic or tin boxes lying waste in the kitchen? Reuse those boxes as utility cabinets to hold your stationary, important documents, or even your makeup accessories. The list is endless.

This helps in de-cluttering your kitchen space.

Work your chipped cutlery into artistic holders

Use chipped cups or glasses as pen or pencil holders. If you have a chipped baking dish, you can pour potpourri all over and keep it in a corner for a long-lasting fragrance around the room.

And if you have chipped plates, you can use those as bases to brighten up the flower pots in your house or garden.

These are my ways on how to stay organized without spending any money. Try these at your home, or workplace. Staying organized is a great way to de-clutter your mind, thus helping you feel more happy and comfortable with your life.
