Most of you, interested in Color Analysis, will understand when I talk about Warm and Cool colors. Those who are new to these terms, here’s a crash course for you:
Warm Colors – If your skin, hair and eye colors have an overall/dominant earthy, or yellow, undertone, you’ll look best in warm colors.
Hair colors can range from light to medium golden browns, browns, red (coppery), auburn, chestnut and finally dark browns. Eye colors can range from earthy shades like hazel, olive green, brown, and blue. And skin color is basically the ones with a golden glow to it.
Cool Colors – If your skin, hair and eye colors have an overall/dominant soft, grayish undertone, you’ll look best in cool colors.
Hair colors can range from ashy brown, silver, ashy blonde and so on. Eye colors can range from gray-blue, charcoal gray, violet and soft brown/hazel. And skin color does not have any golden/yellow undertones, maybe pink or pale undertones.
In this post, I’d like to help those with WARM coloring.
So if you’re warm, all shades of autumn look amazing on you. Think the shades of autumn leaves, blue skies, earthy browns, and so on.
Choose from the softest to the deepest shades, and you’ll be gorgeous. Browns and berries are your best makeup colors.
Additional colors you can look forward to looking your best are pink and peach shades. Try the softest shades in spring and summer, and reserve the deep rich colors for the other seasons.
Now words of caution:
1. No pure whites for you. Stick to off-whites and ivory.
2. Brown is your best accessory color, but don’t go for plain brown bags (you don’t want to look older than your age, right?!) Choose jazzy browns to wear your age!
